To extend the life of sunflowers, you can: cut the stems at an angle when harvesting, place them in fresh water with a small amount of sugar or lemon juice, regularly change the water, trim the stems slightly each time, avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, and remove any leaves below the water line; essentially, providing them with a fresh water supply and protecting them from harsh conditions.
