Barbie Kitchen Glow-Up: A Fresh Display Space for My 1/6 Scale Miniatures
Since I moved my studio to a new spot in the house, I’ve been on the hunt for better ways to display my 1/6 scale furniture—specifically my beloved Barbie kitchen setup. I wanted something functional, dust-proof, and still cute enough to show off all the tiny details I obsess over.
After a ton of scrolling and searching, I finally found the perfect solution: large clear display boxes that open from the front! 🙌 These boxes are surprisingly roomy—my 1/6 scale refrigerator fits comfortably inside, and that’s saying something. The front-access design makes it super easy to switch things up or reposition items.
What I love most is that the entire kitchen is now safely enclosed and protected from dust. No more wiping down those teeny stove burners! 😄 And the clear walls? Game-changer. They let me create the illusion of one room flowing into another, which gives the whole setup a more “open concept” vibe—Barbie would totally approve. In the image above you can also see that the units are stackable.
I still need to come up with a different kitchen island design, since my marble counter top jlooked too big in this configuration.
Can’t wait to style the rest of the space and maybe even connect a dining area or pantry next. This is giving major dollhouse goals and I am here for it. 💖
