DIY 1:12 Scale Miniature Scarecrow Tutorial | Easy Dollhouse Fall Decor

Miniature Scarecrow 1 12 scale

This year, I wanted to make a special little scarecrow for my miniature farmhouse's entry. I had found this adorable scarecrow button that was just the perfect inspiration for the entire project!

To bring him to life, I started by making the base with a round piece of wood, boring a hole big enough to fit a wooden skewer inside.

While the glue was drying, I sketched out the pattern for a tiny shirt.

I took some twine, looped it, and glued it onto the dowel, leaving just enough room at the top for the head.

Rather than sewing the shirt together, I simply draped the fabric over the twine and glued the seams in place. Next, I frayed the ends of the twine to simulate realistic hay sticking out. I repeated the process to make a pair of tiny jeans.

Finally, it was time to place the finished fall decor by the dollhouse entryway. I just love how this little scarecrow turned out—it was so easy to make and added the perfect touch of autumn charm!

I made the little witch's broom out of Fimo.
