Dog Portrait Commission - Can you guess the size of this painting?

 Between painting pet portraits and making miniatures my blog has suffered a bit and it's high time to show you all the portraits I have been working on. Don't let this little teaser deceive you - this dog portrait is actually a life size one that I painted on Fine Art Paper.

The Fine Art Papers are a new addition to the shop and are priced lower than the painting on canvas (see rates here) . You can choose from two different type of papers.

Cold Press Bright White Heavy Textured Matte Fine Art Paper (340 gsm)

Our Semi-Glossy / Luster Photo Paper is a premium-quality, resin-coated inkjet photo paper that feels noticeably thicker, heavier, and more durable than most mass-marketed inkjet photo papers. The resin coating on this paper doesn’t show fingerprints, while eliminating any glare that you might get from the full glossy paper.

My client's friend had lost her beloved dog and wanted to cheer her friend up by giving her a portrait of her dog. She asked if I could just paint the pet and I was happy to oblige. This was a digital painting which has a quick turn around time. Perfect for gifting the recipient can frame the artwork as soon as they unwrap their gift.
