Schnauzer named Bella

What a week, I have been painting portrait after portrait and have been having a great time! Meet Bella,  a little Schnauzer who loves to be the center of attention. Schnauzers are very alert little dogs with great spirits. Schnauzers have a double coat , which has a hard wiry outer coat and close, soft undercoat. The fur can be salt and pepper,black and silver and solid black. This Schnauzer has a small stature, but the breed has a very protective nature and can sound off an alarm just like any other larger dog.

 My client opted for the "Pay What You Want" and ordered a digital portrait of Bella to give as a Christmas gift to her parents.  Since her parents home decor is mainly with blues, the client had asked for a sky like background. In the slide show you can see the original photo that was sent and some great close-up shots that show the brush work on this painting.
