How to Make a Miniature Cake Stand

This is a super easy tutorial on how to make a miniature cake stand for your dollhouse .

To make a tiny cake stand for a dollhouse ot diorama only a few items are needed. Start by cutting out a circle either out of balsa wood or card stock. You can do a print screen and print out the doily image I have included here.

Cut it out and glue it on top of your circle base.

To make the base for the stand you will need a fluted bead cap. I have them available in the shop here. They come in various sizes and metal finishes.  Glue one of those to the base.

For the cover you can either search your pill stash and see if you can find a round one that would fit or cut a piece to size with clear plastic.

I wanted to finish the sides of my cake stand with a cute little star designs. These are nail embellishments that are glued on one by one.

Next I will share how to make the tiny cakes you see on the cake stand and hopefully get a better frontal capture of the cake stand as well. I also made these tiny tongs out of wire and some shiny cardstock.
