Flambeau Upside Down Planter Review

A friend of mine had these two upside down planters that she has been using year after year to grow tomatoes in. Well, this year, I finally bought my own and I have to say I was really surprised to see how much faster my tomatoes are growing in these planters.

The kit comes with easy to follow instructions and putting it together took less than five minutes. However, the legs have to be forced into the openings and you will need a rubber mallot or a hammer wrapped in a rag to tab the legs into place. It is also recommended that you fill the base with sand, so that the planter does not topple over when it gets too windy.

It's been two weeks now and the small tomato plants I picked up at the nursery are growing nicely. I planted two in each box and added some eggplant and a flowering plant on the top. A drip line gets water to the plants. I will report back and show you images of the tomato plants once they start to produce fruit.
