Retro Mid-Century Phone Stand with Phone - 1/6 Scale Dollhouse Accessory - Table Kit

Mid-century table close-up

I have ordered a lot of 1/6 scale miniature phones because I really love the retro look of them. The dial can be moved and the receiver can be take off the phone.

So as I was staging the phone for the first time, I remembered an old photo of myself holding a receiver to my ear and sitting right next to a telephone table/stand.

See how short the telephone tables were? I thought now, how fun would it be to make such a table for a doll home that has Mid-Century decor. Well,  the result was this table kit. In order to avoid legs or tops breaking off while in transit, I decided to make it into a kit.  Assembly is super easy and this way you can paint the table any color you like.

There are round notches in the table for all the legs and table top pegs. Just put a dab of glue in each notch and attach the the pieces. Make sure to do a dry fit before gluing anything down and look closely at the images so that everything looks as it should.

Start with the table legs and make sure that they flare slightly out. Then attach the pegs to the underside of the small table top and attach that to the bigger one.

Your finished table/stand should look something like this.

Each kit is sold with a phone so your dolls can make calls as soon as you are done with putting everything together.

The kit comes with a white table and as I mentioned before it is very easy to color it whatever color you like. In this example you can see different looks. I usually use a primer and then apply several coats of Acrylic paint. Depending on the finish I might even take it a step further and add a wood grain look. The possibilities are endless. If you prefer me to finish the kit for you you can also request a custom order.
