I have a marble countertop which is great for prepping food on, however I prefer using a pastry mat when I am rolling out dough or like to get even sized cookies. Recently I received the Silibake Silicone Pastry Mat and totally fell in love with it.

The mat measures 23" x 15" and has a non-stick/non-slip surface, which eliminates the need to use extra flour or oil to keep the pastry items from sticking to the surface when rolling them out.
On the mat are templates for pie 5-10in pie sizes and two cookie sizes. There are weight, liquid and temperature conversions printed on one side of the mat and basic recipes for sugar cookies and pie dough on the other side.
I used the mat the first time when making my Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies . The matching to the marble counter top a I shaped my cookies to the right size using the size template on the mat.
When I was done the mat was easily lifted off the counter top. I rinsed the mat off under warm water, dried it with a kitchen towel and rolled it back up for storage. The mat is thin enough that rolling it up is easy and storing does not take up much space. The print on the mat is easy to read and the mat itself is just the right size.
