There are many developmental benefits that children excel at when they play with building and construction toys such as Tinker Toys.
Tinker Toys is sponsoring today’s post, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks for continuing to support brands that support me!
Young children need to learn problem solving skills and they can easily do this by building and taking apart construction toys, such as Tinker Toys. Tinker toys are sold in various sets and I remember playing with them as a child. I recently had a chance to review the 100 pcs Safari set at a discounted rate in exchange for this unbiased review.
This set is perfect for children above age 2 and it comes with 100 colorful pieces in various shapes and colors. There are even three figures that can easily be attached to the blocks in the set. The little tourist with a camera, Zebra and a Lion reminded me of Fisher Price figurines, super cute looking.
The pieces are very easy for a young child to put together and pull apart, which helps to develop their motor skills and hand-eye coordination. I thought that they are actually easier to play with then Legos that are better suited for older kids, since taking apart Tinker toy pieces just requires a light pulling. If you ever had to help your kids take apart Legos you might be able to relate.
The pieces come in primary colors of yellow, red, blue and green which improves color cognitive awareness in young children. The various shapes and wheels let kids explore their creative abilities in various ways as they build pretend spaces and play with the provided figurines.
The manufacturer states that the durable plastic blocks are CPSC Certifies and tested and certified for the use of young children. The Tinker Toy sets are available via Amazon
