I have to admit I can not stand dirty windows and I have been know to dangle out of upper floor windows trying to clean the hard to reach corners. I always thought why doesn't someone come up with a gizmo that would make this task easier. Well, guess what someone did. This advanced window cleaner is used by professionals to clean the exterior of windows, while the person doing the cleaning stays in the room. It actually cleans both sides of the windows at the same time with superior cleaning quality. The Glider , Magnetic Window Cleaner This advanced window cleaner is used by professionals to clean the exterior of windows, while staying in the room. There is no other simple way to clean large exterior windows that are wider than an arm's length and on floors above ground level. Easy Mode of Operation: Spray cleaning solution on both sides of the window. Hold the larger part of the cleaner on the window inside, then place the smaller part on the outside window. Now, the powerful magnets will hold the two parts tightly together with the window pane in between them. Start gliding the cleaner at the top of the window horizontally, from one side of the window to the other, back and forth, until reaching the windows bottom.
For very dirty window panes, apply first the special microfiber cloth to scrub off excess dirt.
Here is what comes in the package:
- 4 natural rubber squeegees, which will never wear out.
- 2 Microfiber cloths for wiping off possible residual water streaks.
- 6 foot string with ring to avoid possible fall out of the external part.
- 4 powerful rare earth magnets, which will never fade out.
When I first tried out the unit I was so excited to get going that I did not pay attention to the warning about the power of the magnets. The minute I removed the separator and after a loud "wham" - the two magnets stuck together! Oh boy, I spend the next 15 minutes trying to pry them apart. Those magnets are very strong- so keep those two well away from each other! After a lessoned learned, I followed the directions closely to clean my windows. It was pretty cool to see how both sides get cleaned at the same time. However, I should point out that I have double paned windows and if I moved too fast the outer unit would lose contact with the inner magnet and fall off. It took some getting used to how to move the piece around to get the entire window cleaned, but once I got the hang of it I was pretty happy with it. Overall there were a few streaks left, but with hard to reach window panes it was totally worth seeing a few streaks instead of very dirty window panes.
I received my Glider at a discounted rate in exchange for my unbiased review.
