This is so exciting - the City of Irvine has proposed a state of the art Animal Eco Center to be built in Irvine's Great Park. The proposed Center is to include a brand new Animal Shelter facility with full Animal Health Clinic (and more!) all on 10 acres.

The shelter will be large enough to contract with other local cities who wish to be associated with a newer, larger shelter that focuses on the animals' welfare, in place of the old County Shelter in Orange.

Since I am a resident of Laguna Hills, I thought I pass this information along. The City of Laguna Hills may consider this option, and residents are invited to attend an Informational meeting on the Great Park Animal Eco Center, this Saturday March 28th at 11am, across the parking lot from the Irvine Animal Care Center at OSF.

See the attached flyer or visit for the latest news.
