This week’s 52 Snapshots of Life theme is "create" and members from the Blog Paws community have been busy creating a variety of very creative things most sharing images of their pets. I figured I share something too. This is my little Benji who is in doggy heaven. He used to sit in my studio and watch me paint. There is not a day that goes by that I do not miss his companionship.
Fortunately, I am always asked to paint someone else's dog, cat, horse or other four legged friend. When I get the photos, I spend many hours looking closely at all that makes that particular pet special and in a way spend time with the pet. Sadly, all too often these dear friends have passed away just like my Benji and all I can think of is wonder weather my Benji might run into them in heaven and welcome them with a loud bark and invitation to romp around.
Here is a slideshow of my most recent paintings of beloved pets that have passed over the rainbow bridge and who are truly missed by their owners.
