Blog Giveaway - Lovely Mosaic Cards by Tamar Hammer

We have a winner...

You will be receiving your gift directly from Tamar.

These lovely mosaic cards are created by Tamar who uses illustration, photo-processing and collage to create these images of mosaic designs reminiscent of Pompeii or any Roman mosaic work.

When I asked Tamar to share a bit about her creation process she said the following:

I am interested in geographic locations as creators of atmosphere. In many of my projects the magic of a specific scene or landscape creates the foundation for the image.
I graduated with a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel. Later I studied web-design, animation and graphic design. Today, I work as a free-lancer illustrator, graphic designer and web-designer.
This series is based on combination of two objects that I love to photograph: ancient mosaics and garden flowers. I have carefully chosen photos from my mosaic collection and my flower collection and have put them together to create these cards. The eternal beauty of the classic mosaic, juxtaposed with the ephemeral yet vigorous ravishing of the flower, create an aesthetic result that touches the heart – old and new, immortality and life, art and nature.
The cards are blank. Each card comes with a fine Williamhouse Environment envelope and the whole set comes nicely wrapped in an acid free clear bag.
The back of each card gives the geographic location of the mosaic and the century of its creation.

Tamar has graciously offered a free set of cards to one lucky winner!
