Norouz the Persian New Year is coming and I decided to feature some Iranian art. I will start with

Persian Calligraphy

and poetry.


Calligraphy is an ancient art form in Iran and is seen not only in books, but as part of decorations in buildings as well. The history of calligraphy in Iran dates back to the pre Islam era. Great penmanship with beautiful and clear writings were always praised.
