Marie Louise Elisabeth Vigée Lebrun (1755-1842) was from the French nobility and was the official court painter of Queen Marie Antoinette. It is interesting to see the age progression from painting to painting, some of which still hang in the court of Versaille. Speaking of which, this little video merges the latest movie about Marie Antoinette with images from Versaille.

Louis XVI entrusted his queen to entertain the nobility at the Versaille court. Marie Antoinette not only was a beautiful looking, but had also great taste and organized theatrical performances and grand balls that were elaborately decorated. She loved floral patterns and soft pastel hues and her decorating taste is still visible at Versaille today.
