The Carnival of Venice is in full swing and I figured why not write about this fun event. When I was in Venice, you saw many stalls with a variety of mask, each in a different color, design from full-face masks to eye masks.

The oldest document pertaining to the use of masks in Venice dates back to 2nd May 1268. The Carnival of Venice, elsewhere known as Mardi Gras started the 13th of February and lasts through February 24th.
