L'Oreal is sponsoring today’s post, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks for continuing to support brands that support me!
I am a big fan of L'Oreal Paris products and am always on the lookout for new products being introduced to the market. L'Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Creams and Serum made with Manuka Honey are new and wonderful. I tried the Day Cream, Night Cream, and Eye Gel and love to share my findings with my readers.
First, let's chat about Manuka Honey, which is a key ingredient in all three beauty products. Manuka honey is sourced from the nectar of the Manuka Plant that grows in New Zealand. The bees gather the nectar of these lovely blooms and that in turn is made into honey that is supposed to be nurturing for the skin.
So let's start with the Day and Night Creams ....
The package says that the formula is supposed to keep your skin feeling hydrated for 24 hours and that it is made for severely dry skin. Both Creams are infused with calcium and antioxidants. My neck seemed very dry and I generously applied the day and night cream. I would say after three applications I could visibly tell that my neck area looked much firmer and well hydrated. Gone were those ugly crease folds you get when your skin is underhydrated. I love the very mild scent and the buttery feel of the creams. They go on easily, although I would have loved to get an applicator. Getting the creams out of the jar with long nails is not easy since tons of it ends up under your fingernail. The difference between the two products is that the Night Cream hydrates the skin for 48 hours and the Day Cream for 24 hours. The jar size is the same and the products feel identical.
One of the things I also noticed was that the cream is absorbed by my skin very fast. When I apply the Day Cream in the morning, I can pretty much right away apply make-up. The creams do not feel oily, but they give your skin a soft feel and there are no problems with make-up interactions. The night cream did not leave smudges on my white pillowcase either.
Now to the Honey Eye Gel ...
The packaging states that it de-puffs bags under the eyes. It is also infused with calcium and antioxidants and is good for reducing dark circles under the eyes. So what I fell in love with is the applicator. It a rolling ball applicator made of some sort of metal. It feels so cool and comfortable against your eyes. It actually makes applying the eye gel fun, since you will want to keep rolling it back and forth - a lot!
I think that's the idea because this is how you massage the gel gently into the skin around the eyes. I feel the area around my eyes looks much better too. I made sure to look at my eyes when they were really puffy and then about 30 minutes later. The puffiness was gone and after several applications, I feel the skin looks firmer too.
All three products are Paraben-Free, Allergy tested and Nonsticky.
So would I recommend the L'Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Creams and Serum made with Manuka Honey? Absolutely, a yes!
